I'm not sure what the cost per gallon of a 'carry in' and refill would be but I'm sure the tank exchanges such as Home Depot and the others would probably be more. My propane cost was based on local home delivery which requires 200 gallons minimum. Diesel has a few more BTU's per gallon than kerosene but around here kero is considerably more than diesel.
